The Battle Begins
King Saul offered David armor and weapons, but David refused because he was not used to them.
Instead, he took his slingshot and five smooth stones from a nearby stream.
When Goliath saw David approaching, he laughed and mocked him. But David stood strong and said that he trusted God to help him.
With one powerful throw of his sling, David launched a stone that struck Goliath on the forehead, and the giant fell to the ground.
